  • So that I know factors, such as the availability of land, water, other natural resources, and the climate, influence the patterns of human settlement
  • So that  I know people adapt to their environment in different ways


The continents of Africa, Asia, Europe, North America, and South America have unique geographic features.


Major rivers, mountain ranges, and other geographic features of Africa

  • Nile River: The longest river in the world
  • Atlas Mountains: Separate the coastlines of the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean from the Sahara Desert
  • Sahara Desert: The largest hot desert in the world
